First Aid Training Course in Scoil Beag.
Scoil Beag is a non for profit crèche that operates out of Kilcurry Community Development Centre near Dundalk. As we are child care providers, it is essential that we have First Aid skills and that these are regularly updated to keep all of us in the staff refreshed and ready to help in any emergency that could arise within the job.
With the kind help of the SEBP Programme, our crèche had First Aid training provided by Blue Light Medical, a northern based company. We completed our First Aid course over two Saturday’s, each day consisting of 5 hours training and an assessment at the end. We all found the course extremely beneficial and would recommend anyone involved in any community project to do such a course as when running a centre, crèche or any other type of organisation, you never know when your First Aid training may be called upon. It’s training that is not only relevant to the workplace but to general life.
I can’t thank Claire Patience and the SEBP enough for helping us to organise and roll out this training. It was hugely successful with all 13 attendees attending and passing their assessment! Our trainer Michael is a paramedic and made the course, easy to learn and practical too. This aided in everyone being able to pick up the content so quickly as for some it was their first time!
